Chinese again. Mr. Lei led the story and did it very well. We used Genesis 18-19. First, Abraham asking God if He would destroy the righteous with the wicked, then the destruction of Sodom and the rescue of Lot. We skipped the bit about Lot's daughters!

The game worked well—we had exactly 15 people, so it was easy to have groups of three. Everybody drew numbers out of a jar & then we called three at a time, so the groups were random. Each group then had to choose one person to be "Lot" and two to be "angels" (complete with tinsel haloes). The angels then "pulled Lot to safety" by dragging him/her on a bedsheet from one end of the room to the other. We went through the whole group twice so more people got to both pull & be pulled. (61-year-old Grandma Si being pulled along while sitting regally on the sheet was TOO fun.)
For craft time, we explained that it was possible that the fire & brimstone rained down on Sodom was from a volcano. We made little volcanoes out of clay and then spooned in baking soda & then eye-droppers of vinegar to watch them foam over. I had planned to color the vinegar to see if we could get more fiery-looking foam, but I forgot to do that.
Bruce led the Bible study from I Peter 2:22-25.
Next week we'll join the mother church for their outdoor service. I'm glad for the break as I've come to the end of all pre-preparation—have topics but no stories, games, or crafts even thought up yet. Yikes!
